Isidro Blasco

This Project began when artist Isidro Blasco reconnected with some tables from the 1950s that his father, Arcadio Blasco, used to produce. It all started with the intention of raising funds for Casa-Taller Arcadio Blasco in Mutxamel, Alicante by recreating a series of tables with the original design.

In the process, they discovered the potential behind these designs. This led to the launch of the first run of The Table Project in 2020, which continues to this day. This project has become a connection point for different artists, where each one reinterprets the original design and produces their own table.

Among the participants are Eduardo Barco, Pablo Bellot, Arcadio Blasco, Isidro Blasco, Olivia Blasco, Agar Blasco, Alejandro Botubol, Raul Bravo, Olga Diego, Patricia Escario, René Francisco, Virginia Frieyro, Julio Galeote, Montserrat Gomez Osuna, Susana Guerrero, Miriam Guirao, Manuela Inclán, Jimena Kato, Pepe Medina, Rosell Meseller, Linarejos Moreno, Teresa Moro, Ana Pastor, Luisa Pastor, Sandra Rein, Davinia Reina, Elio Rodriguez, Avelinoi Sala, Oscar Seco, Miguel Angel Tornero, Cristina Spinelli and Oscar Valero.

Tables are made with original Mayólica tiles, fired at 1000ºC and glazed with Prodesco´s glazes. The support consists of a metal structure designed with different heights, adapting to each design. The color composition of each table gives them a unique and original value.
